There are some advantages to being a relative newcomer to Oxford.
Perhaps most importantly, I hold no allegiance to any specific person, group or faction. I would never believe that anyone who comes before the Town Commission has any more entitlement to a particular outcome than anyone else.
I have decades of experience navigating conflicts among deeply entrenched political and financial interests. I can objectively evaluate issues before the Commission and apply my best judgment to their resolution without bias or favoritism.
Although there are no financial disclosures currently required of candidates for the Town Commission, I can state that my financial holdings are all in publicly traded mutual funds. My wife and I own no individual stocks and we have no ownership in any private vendor, supplier, consultant, or any other entity that will come before the Town Commission.
I am confident that I can address any dispute that comes before the Commission without, as they say,“fear or favor” – impartially, with objectivity, free from any personal preferences or motivations, and regardless of any party or interest involved.
